The MSc in Ecology and Environmental Management is a 2 year (120 ECTS) Masters of Science programme.

The first year is dedicated to course work. The courses of the programme run either in modules or over the semesters. When running in modules,  6 ECTS courses last at most for 3 weeks and 3 ECTS courses for 1,5 weeks.

In the beginning of the second year, students conduct a Dissertation, Project, or Traineeship (60 ECTS), either in or outside FCUL.

At the end of the second year, students defend their work in a public defense.
